Aquatics
My name is Gerard, I'm new to this forum and unfortunately only speak English. I love all Chelonia and have enjoyed reading through the many great posts here. Aquatics are my main focus and have several species to share. I look forward to reading and sharing more, here.
Trachemys decussata ssp., from the Bahamas. I have several clutches incubating now.

Hello,
I have both species from Cuba, trachemys decusata decusata, and trachemys decusata augusta. The ones in these pictures are from The Bahamas and are thought to be intergrade. However, no one seems to know between what species. Over the years different species from the Caribbean were brought around as pets and food by locals and each island can have different looking turtles. These came from one island and I should have some hatching pictures in a month.
This is the "pure" decusata.

Hello,
I use a fine grade perlite for incubation. I mix it in a 2:1 ratio and have great success with it. I am almost up to 3000 eggs this year and if they're fertile, I rarely lose any with this mixture. Thanks!
