Threatened gopher tortoises to be relocated to make way for Wekiva Trail

I live minutes from there, it's a very beautiful area, Wekiva springs is a must see if anyone comes here. They will end up relocating them, it's a very important thing. Contractors can get permits to just bulldoze over the burrows to build houses, the fact that they're talking about it on the news makes me think they'll do a good job there. I love this species, they just come into our yard to graze and we see them everywhere while driving around.

Hi Gerard, do you breed Gopherus tortoises?

They are not so common here in Europe.
